Why Everyone in the Shop Is Talking About Doctor Doom
Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled for December 18, 2026. Robert Downey Jr., the actor who launched the MCU as Iron Man, returns as Victor von Doom, with the Russo brothers directing.
Here at Infinite Collectibles in Paducah, KY, we have epic nerd conversations about Doom every single day. Is he the greatest villain the MCU has ever seen? Can he carry a whole Avengers movie? When the biggest names in the hobby get this loud, the comics behind them get noticed, and collectors start hunting.
That's where Iron Man #150 comes in.
What Happens in Iron Man #150?
This is the second half of "Doomquest," a two-part story that starts in Iron Man #149. Tony Stark chases stolen technology to Latveria, and during the fight at Doom's castle, Iron Man and Doctor Doom get blasted back through time on Doom's Time Platform.
They land in Camelot.
Iron Man teams up with King Arthur's knights (he even becomes "Sir Anthony of Iron"). Doom allies with Morgan le Fay, hoping her magic can help free his mother's soul from Hell. It's armored Avenger vs. armored despot, with swords, sorcery and a dragon thrown in. To get home, the two enemies eventually have to strike a truce.
The cover says it all: Iron Man in classic red and gold, squared up against Doom in his green cloak. It's one of the most recognizable Iron Man covers of the Bronze Age.
