Matt Cable is taken off the Swamp Thing case and sent to a small town in Vermont where there is no records of the townsfolk, and nobody has ever paid taxes. Meanwhile, Swamp Thing falls off a vegetable truck near the selfsame town and is taken there by an exact double of his wife and his own former self.
